Family Photo-Story Books
We produce unique family history photobooks, each made especially for you and your family. We put together photos and selected stories to bring memories alive.

So, how to make a family history photobook?

We’ll work with your photo archive together with you.

On the first interview I’ll record who is who, write down some stories and comments to the pictures and capture interesting memories, that will bring those photos alive.
It can be anything like Who knitted this cardigan for your granny, and why does it stretch till her knees?
How did we get this dog? What did they eat during World War II? How many of us lived in this house and had to share the 2 bedrooms? We'll agree on main ideas for capturing family tree, themes, and agree on basics of design.

Over next couple of weeks we’ll be working with your photos - improving and retouching selected photos, putting together the captions and the text, organizing and designing a book.
In our second interview we will go through the draft photobook design on the computer together with you, make some corrections and agree on the changes, “sign off” the final design and text, and I’ll be preparing the photobooks books for printing.

Sometimes - if the changes were substantial - we’ll need a third interview to agree the final design, or we can do it remotely over email and WhatsApp.

The ready book(s) will be delivered to you within
2 weeks after final signoff of the book, normally within
4 weeks after the first interview.
It will be an unforgettable gift for the occasion of an anniversary, jubilee, arrival of the new grandchild or simply a gorgeous Christmas or birthday gift.

How to prepare for the project.

It could also be a nice momento for those who would like a little prompt for memories, or as a memory book of the departed relatives for yourself and rest of the family.
To prepare for the interview, please take out your old photo albums and filter for no more than 150 prints or up to 300 digital pictures that are most important for you.
Please prioritise good quality shots or prints and try to avoid badly damaged, out of focus or washed out photos - that will secure the good quality of the pictures in your photobook.

We’ll need a couple of quiet hours for our first chat, so we can discuss background and review photos together with no pressure.
